Sew Let's Quilt Along: Segment One Wrap-Up
We’ve reached the end of segment one of Sew Let’s Quilt Along! It’s been so much fun sewing along with all of you. If you’ve missed any of the past blocks, you can find all of the links on my quilt along page. And if you didn’t catch the pattern for the quilt shop (the last block of the segment), I blogged about that one here.
So what does the end of segment one mean? Firstly, it means we’ve already completed five whole quilt blocks! In the past couple months, we’ve made a sewing machine, mug, ruler, thread, and a quilt shop. Now it’s time to celebrate our accomplishments and decide what we want to do with our blocks. It’s also time for our first round of prizes! More information on that can be found towards the bottom of this post.
Small Projects or Big Quilt?
Personally, I’m saving all of my blocks to make one large quilt at the end of the quilt along. Several of our hosts are doing the same thing. But we also have people that are turning their blocks into small projects as they go along. The hosts that are making small projects are all sharing ideas today. Be sure to check out their posts for inspiration!

Small Project Idea
I thought the blocks from this segment would go really well together as a wall hanging for the sewing room. You could put the sewing machine at the top like in this picture, or you could put it in the middle with the rest of the blocks above and below it. If you set the blocks right next to each other like this, the wall hanging would be 24” wide by 42” high.
