A Heart Full of Love
Tese Shekitka designed and pieced this queen sized wedding quilt The colors match the bride's boquet. The name she chose fits the quilt perfectly: A Heart Full of Love.
For the quilting, I felt that I should stick with the theme. I quilted it all over with flowing hearts and ribbons. The quilting design is Heart to Heart by Patricia Ritter and Natalie Gorman for Urban Elementz. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
Tese chose a variegated thread that adds so much depth and movement to the quilting. The thread blends well enough that you only see the texture from a distance. Yet when you look closer, the colors in the thread pop against the different fabrics.
Tese almost always saves fabric and adds interest to her quilts by piecing the backs. In this case, she pieced a small strip down the center of the quilt to make the backing fabric wide enough. It's a beautiful touch.
I immensely enjoyed working on this quilt. Tese did a fabulous job on it, and I was so pleased that I found the Heart to Heart quilting design. This quilt is sure to be well loved by the happy couple.
