Doggie Baby Quilt
I had the privilege of quilting this delightful baby quilt for Linda Arness. Her attention to detail really makes the quilt shine. It makes such a difference that she took the time to make all of the dogs face up in the setting triangles.
I love that she fussy cut dogs to drive the truck and to sit in the dog house.
Her embroidery really makes the fire hydrant and collar pop.
I love the variety of blocks that she made. There is just so much to look at in this quilt. The Scottie dog in the center is a adorable with its little embroidered eye and nose.
To stick with the theme, I quilted a little dog in each of the outside blocks.
I also put a bone in the center of each of the border blocks.
One of the things I like best about custom quilting is the wholecloth effect that you get on the back of the quilt. The backing fabric that she chose really allows the quilting to pop.
My favorite part on the back of the quilt is the little four pointed stars that I quilted inside the twisters on the front.
I really enjoyed working on this quilt. I'm so glad that Linda likes what I did with it. The baby that gets this one is sure to love it.
